Bali Community Reef Formers

Bali Reef Formers

Reef Formers in Bali was launched in 2023, where we collaborate with a dedicated local community to restore and enhance the coastal reef ecosystem. These dive camps build on the important work started at the community-protected “Alba” dive site, where an artificial reef is now thriving, home to a growing population of Tridacna species (Giant Clams). These majestic clams play a crucial role in marine conservation, as they filter water and provide habitats for other marine life, contributing to the health of the reef.

Our initiative goes beyond underwater exploration. We work hand-in-hand with the community to foster sustainable practices, raise awareness about the importance of marine biodiversity, and ensure the long-term protection of these vital ecosystems. By nurturing the relationship between local livelihoods and marine conservation, we aim to create lasting positive impacts.

Participants can look forward to a series of macro fun dives, exploring vibrant marine life, and visiting a historic World War II shipwreck that has become an artificial haven for coral and fish. Whether you are passionate about marine biology or simply love diving, this experience offers a unique opportunity to make a tangible difference while enjoying the underwater wonders of Bali.
